When you lose your way, everything seems to not make sense or fall into place. When you lose your way, happiness, joy and peace seem like far off concepts. When you lose your way, you lose yourself. When you lose your way, you can’t see anything in front of you. When you lose your way, you can’t be in the moment because live inside your own sadness and pain.
I lose my way a lot. And I’ve been too hard on myself for that. I say things like: I’m not writing enough. I’m not doing my part. I’m not spending enough time with the people I love. I’m not…I’m not… etc. etc.
It’s the endless loop playing in our heads. I just want the loop to stop. I want silence. I want peace. I want to have the ability to just turn it off! How do I turn it off?
These are all of the things that keep these loops going. They are the driving force of being stuck. Then comes the resentment for feeling stuck, helpless, and lost.
And then I heard this in my mind and in my heart:
WHAT IS ABOVE US SHOULD BE UNDER US!
What we strive for should be right underneath us lifting us up, pulling us above this mess of thoughts and feelings.
How do we find our way again?
We must reach up first in order to go forward!
We must look up and ask God what words we need to replace with fear, worry, self-doubt and disappointment. We need to jump up to the clouds and snatch these new words and make them our new loops. If we jump up to the clouds, then we can no longer be stuck in the mud, bound by our endless dark loops.
When you lose your way, you believe there is no hope. Jump up and grab onto hope.
When you lose your way, you believe you have no one. Jump up and grab onto faith.
When you lose your way, you believe you are consumed by the negative loops. Jump up and grab onto perseverance.
When you lose your way, you believe you are not good enough. Jump up and grab onto love.
When you lose your way, you believe you will never be the person you want to be, jump up and grab on to YOU!
You are your own savior in this. You are the answer. To make a shift is to take the first step towards something different than what you are doing now.
When you lose your way, jump up to the clouds and go find the version of you waiting at the end of the path.
When you find yourself, you can never lose your way again because you can let go of the person you didn’t want to be.
That person wasn’t you anyway.
Let go and jump.
And then move towards YOU.
You are worth it.
with love from above
